Learning from the Dead
This anatomical exhibition showcases an extensive, scientifically valuable collection of educationally presented anatomical specimens. It features preserved real human bodies, skeletons, limbs, organs, and organ blocks that convey medical knowledge and unique impressions to interested visitors.
The bodies, body parts, and organs come from body donors and have been permanently preserved using the so-called plastination technique.
A special focus is placed on cancer and tumors: various types of tumors and specimens are displayed and explained. The exhibition offers detailed explanations, multimedia presentations, and didactic panels on general and specific topics related to the human body. Key areas include the skeletal and muscular systems, the brain and nervous system, reproductive organs, heart and blood vessels, kidneys and urinary tract, digestive system, sensory organs, and the respiratory system and lungs.
Out of respect for the deceased and the purpose of body donation, all bodies and organs are displayed exclusively in medical poses. The focus is on conveying knowledge through real human specimens, presented in a profound and comprehensive manner.
