Learning from the Dead
This anatomical exhibition features an extensive and scientifically valuable collection of educationally presented anatomical objects. It includes preserved real human bodies, skeletons, limbs, organs, and organ blocks that offer medical knowledge and unique insights to interested visitors.
The bodies, body parts, and organs come from body donors and have been permanently preserved using the so-called plastination technique.
Special focus is given to the subject of cancer and tumors: various types of tumors and specimens are displayed and explained. The exhibition offers comprehensive explanations, multimedia presentations, and educational panels on general and specific topics related to the human body. Main topics include the skeleton and musculoskeletal system, the brain and nervous system, reproductive organs, heart and blood vessels, kidneys and urinary tract, digestive system, sensory organs, respiratory system, and lungs.
Out of respect for the deceased and the purpose of body donation, all bodies and organs are presented exclusively in medical and educational poses. The focus is on the transfer of knowledge through real human specimens, presented in a detailed and comprehensive manner.
